February started on a complete high and ended pretty rubbish with a horrible case of illness in the household. First Mini Kat got sick with a high temperature and a virus which quickly passed over to Adam who spent the last day of our holiday feeling absolutely rotten and did so for the rest of the week and then I ran around like a mad woman looking after everyone, taking Mini-Kat to parties and generally being the go to person only to be struck down with my longest virus, tonsillitis, laryngitis, lingering sore throat and cough that’s made me pull muscles in my neck I’ve ever had. Seriously, I’m still coughing and can’t manage the school run without needing to take a few breathers and dry retch on the way from all the coughing. All I keep hearing is the weather won’t help it which is great but sadly not something I can really do anything about. However, I am looking back over February with fond memories.
Firstly, you may have noticed…we had our first family holiday abroad to Disneyland Paris and it was fantastic. We all had a great time whilst we were there and have made some fantastic memories. We will be returning.
Secondly, I am loving this amazing shine spray by Andrew Barton. I got this as part of a gift set for Christmas last year (I can’t believe I’m already saying last year…it’s March, which is crazy, and wasn’t Christmas like yesterday anyway) It is smooth, it smells lovely and fruity and is full of vitamin E and Argan Oil to keep my hair feeling soft and nourished. I use a little spritz after drying my hair to give it a little shine during the day.
The next thing I am loving is my brand new and first ever Matte lipstick in Candy by Acti Labs. I love the colour, it’s really long lasting and feels lovely to wear. I’m completely new to Matte lipsticks but I really love this one and would love to try some of the other amazing shades available. It’s a liquid lipstick that dries with a Matte finish and available for just £12.50 – bargain!
I’ve been reading through a few old books which actually belong to Adam rather than me so I’m having to use whatever I can find to mark the pages rather than folding them – he hates that! Luckily I found my cute little owl bookmark which I was given for Mothers Day last year…I think! But I’m loving it and I’m loving reading more again.
So there you have it a few favourites I’ve been using over February and the start of March…still can’t believe it’s March…Happy International Woman’s Day too!
