January is a pretty gloomy and long month for so many people so I think it’s a good excuse to cheer yourself up and indulge in some comfort purchases no matter how small. You can grab some fantastic bargains in the sales and I’ve found some new products and household bits and pieces that I love and want to share with you.
Firstly I really love this contour palette. I’ve never used one before and have never contoured either so when I saw this was available for for just £19.50 I thought I would go for it! It’s a brilliant price and I am really happy with the product. The palette contains a bronzer for the dark contour areas, a blusher and an illuminating powder to highlight. I was considering doing liquid contouring but I’m really happy with the powders and feel like the shades work well with my skin tone. I think for what you get this is great value for money and there compact has a great size mirror. It’s very lightweight so easy to transport.
We’ve recently been using a cafetierre to make our coffee and the newest one we’ve tried is this Taylors of Harrogate Hot Lava Java bag from Sainsbury’s. It’s a lovely, rich coffee and great in the afternoon when you need a warming boost and a pick me up. It’s £3.50 for a 227g bag.
Working on my mindset has really helped me and I started off the year working on my goals by using the book Your Best Year Yet. This is a fantastic read to help you get your life on track and start doing whatever it is you want to be doing whether that’s business, blogging, a stronger family life, holidays, more money…whatever it is that you want this book is a great read to get you focused. I purchased the Kindle editionwhich is currently £5.37 and it really helped me to evaluate the past and plan the year ahead.
I’ve been trying to eat healthier and experiment a bit with salads and trying to make them full of flavour and oomph. I’ve found this caramelised balsamic vinegar and practically used a whole bottle in the month. It’s got no additives and no added gluten which is great, it has a sweeter taste than regular balsamic so I think it works amazingly with feta cheese which can be quite strong and balances with the pepperiness of rocket really nicely.
I have always loved Soap & Glory products and the Sugar Crush scented range is my absolute favourite. This has been one of my go to hand creams in the last month. The smell is amazing and as it’s Hand Food you know it’s a good cream! It’s got that lovely citrus scent to it and absorbs really well leaving my hands feeling soft and smooth.
One of my top hair products has to be the S.O.S deep conditioning hair masque by Andrew Barton. It smells fantastic and is full of argan oil, vitamin e and shea butter. A walnut size amount is recommending and then wash out after letting the oils sink into your hair.
