The Cafe in the Sky…

Another little adventure had by us – just me and the boyfriend was a night down in Portsmouth and a day of shopping, site seeing and smiles…

There wasn’t any real reason for Portsmouth but it’s not too far from home and therefore the train fare wasn’t on the expensive side. We stayed in the Keppels Head Hotel which is in a perfect location – close to Portsmouth Harbour, Historical Dockyard and Gumwarf Quays, but it is a very, very old building. There were a lot of negative reviews on the place so I was a little apprehensive about spending the night there but it was fine. The room was big and airy and we had a lovely few from our window where you could just sit and people watch…the room was clean but the shower wasn’t very modern so it didn’t get hot enough and water went everywhere! But we had a good night sleep and a very tasty breakfast in the morning. Everyone we spoke to at the hotel was friendly and happy to help which made our stay a happy one.

We headed out early to the tower and met with some amazing views…

The second floor has a cafe so we soon sat down to watch the world go by with a hot chocolate
