Let’s talk beauty essentials! Today for the first time in a long time I tried a swimming class. It was great fun and I really enjoyed it but I hate walking home after a swim with a red blotchy face yet it’s warm and I prefer less on my skin in the heat and my bag just isn’t big enough for all of my makeup. I put together a few of my beauty essentials to enable me to have a little makeup on after a swim or workout without taking too much time and being too heavy!
Firstly swimming really dries out my hair so having a tiny bottle of Andrew Barton Frizz Ease Argan Oil serum helps to give my hair a little softness back after a shower. It smells nice and you only need a touch. The size of this bottle is excellent for a makeup bag.
Next, as I said, swimming makes me red and dry faced so having a good moisturiser and primer is essential. I recently purchased the starter kit from Younique which came with a selection of samples from their skincare range. I really like both the products and as they are sample size they fit perfectly in my makeup bag.
For my face I used a BB Creme in the shade Nude by Forever Living. It’s an Aloe based tinted moisturiser and gives good coverage, especially when used with a beauty blender.
The rest are some of my daily beauty go to’s. I combine the B. Cosmetics brow kit with my Acti Labs Brow Wax to give some colour, shape and definition to my brows. A touch of Skyscraper mascara & honey twist lip crayon completed my look and made me feel like I was acceptable to head outside of the changing rooms in the pool!
