Fitness Angels – Review

Fitness Angels – Personal Training in your living room

Fitness Angels is a new way of personal training and I love it. I was recently approached by Fitness Angels and asked to review a trial session with one of the personal trainers. After a quick telephone consultation and questionnaire I was paired with Charlotte who specialises in Yoga. Over the phone I explained how I am interested in building my strength and flexibility, increasing my overall health and fitness and that I had an interest in Yoga and Pilates. The consultation call was friendly and got me really excited for my trial session. We just went through a few health questions about my general health and ability right now, short term goals and that there was no medical reason for me not to do any activity. I was also asked if I had any workout equipment at home.

The day before my trial session I had an email from Fitness Angels and my personal trainer who would be working with me explaining the next steps and how to prepare and set up for the session. This was really handy because it meant I was on time for my session and could get the right set up for my living room. The email informed me to have water, any equipment, a towel and yoga mat if I had one ready and set up as well as enough space to complete the session. Fitness Angels recommends a space of about 6x6ft and also advises on the best positioning for your laptop.

I set up around five minutes before my session was due to start, downloaded the Zoom application onto my laptop which allows for video conferencing and within minutes I was facing my new personal trainer. We had a quick ten minute chat discussing goals and fitness level before getting into a 20 minute yoga routine. The yoga routine was challenging but doable and Charlotte walked me through each of the poses as well as correcting posture when needed. I ended the session feeling like I’d worked out and quite sweaty, but that is a good thing and I am glad I felt an immediate benefit to the session.

Charlotte is a great personal trainer to trial yoga with. She clearly loves what she does and has such a passion for it which I think will make her a great person to work with for anyone that enjoys yoga. She didn’t make me feel rushed at the end of the session and offered time to ask any questions which was great. She was very relaxed, down to earth and made me feel completely at ease. It was like doing the session with a friend.

Fitness Angels are currently offering a free trial session which will involve matching you with a personal trainer to suit your needs. They also have several packages available which include workouts and health coaching sessions. These start from £36 per month which I think is very affordable for four sessions with a personal trainer and to go in with both fitness and coaching sessions is just brilliant. For anyone looking for more flexibility with fitness angels there is also a custom package available.

Disclaimer: Despite the free trial being available to everyone, I agreed to take part in the free trial in exchange for this review. All opinions remain my own.

  1. This sounds great and a really good price too! I like the idea of being able to do this at home but also having the contact with the teacher…worth following up on for someone like me.

This seems like a great option for busy working mums. I must try and schedule in some exercise into my routine and this seems more feasible than joining a gym. #KCACOLS

  11. I have seen lately a growing number of people offering this type of services. I guess they have realised that there is a market for this. People are busy and don’t have the time to actually attend a class in a gym so being able to take a class at the comfort of your home and when the times suits you it is definitely a great option. I’m glad to hear that you like your session. I will have a look at their website. Thank so much for sharing this at #KCACOLS. I hope you can join us this weekend, 🙂 x

  12. There seem to be a lot of these PT services popping up at the moment. I think it is definitely the way forward for busy parents! I’m really getting into yoga right now so this sounds like a good one. Lovely review – thanks for sharing on #fortheloveofBLOG x
