I was recently contacted by Glassesshop.com with the offer to try a new pair of glasses in exchange for a review and this is what I thought.
Glassesshop.com have a variety of glasses on their website with a huge amount of choice for reading, prescription and sunglasses. I was offered the chance to either receive a pair of prescription glasses or sunglasses and I opted for the latter hoping the sunshine would be more prominent over the summer. I do wear prescription glasses and sunglasses however I didn’t know what lens I needed so I just opted for regular sunglasses.
I choose the Hobuken Cat Eye glasses as they are similar to the style I like to wear and thought these would make lovely summer sunglasses. I was then able to choose the shade and strength of the tint and went for a blue shade. The glasses did take a couple of weeks to get to me however I received them last weekend and have been using them, when I can, this week.
Considering I wasn’t measured I found the glasses a really good, snug fit which impressed me. It is something that concerns me about buying prescription glasses as usually your eyes are measured to make sure the lens and frames are right for your face. When I first opened the box I was pleased to see the glasses came in a nice case with a cleaning cloth inside. These frames are available for $19.99 on their website which is a really reasonable price for the frames and I expect the cost increases when you add in the correct lenses for your vision needs.
Overall I am happy with these and they do look nice. The plastic feels a little thin but then so do most sunglasses that are available in the high street. I think these are going to come in handy over the summer whilst traveling, especially as they came with a case so they can be easily carried in my handbag. I think these will be ideal for holidays because they are reasonably priced, some designer frames can be really expensive and hard to replace. These make a great alternative and I think it’s always nice to have a spare pair.
Disclaimer: I received a pair of sunglasses from Glassesshop.com in exchange for a review. All opinions are my own.
