I was recently contacted by Sarah on Facebook who is the owner of Sweet Things Fudge Kitchen which is a handmade fudge company. She very kindly sent me a gift set box of twelve pieces of handmade fudge to try and review. I have been following Sarah for a while now and I was already aware of her awesome creations, they always looked so yummy so I was absolutely thrilled to review the fudge I was sent…and I wasn’t the only one!
Our gift set arrived on Saturday and we’ve been happily sampling a few bits at a time. When I first opened the box I was amazed at how much I had received and there were a variety of different flavours to try too. Each piece looked amazing and I wanted to try straight away!
I love how each piece is decorated too, some are plain and some have chocolate or sweets on top to enhance the flavours in the fudge which is always a bonus for me and for Mini Kat who had her sights set on the slices with dolly mixture sweeties on top!
Each piece of fudge is really thick and as it’s handmade I think that makes for excellent value. Some of the decorated pieces also come with a thick piece of chocolate or giant button on top too which is great. The taste of each piece is absolutely delicious. Each piece is really creamy and soft and just perfect. It took me right back to buying treats on the beach front on holiday where you have all of those delicious selections of handmade clotted cream bundles of happiness. Every bite was met with an mmmm noise.
I think my favourite was the lemon meringue piece and I tried so hard to save it until last because I knew I would enjoy it and I really, really did! I would happily sit with an entire box of the lemon meringue fudge…I might even share it! This selection box is priced at £7.50
