Who Am I – #Blogtober16

I’m joining in with the lovely Mandi at Hex Mum Blog and a whole host of other wonderful bloggers for #Blogtober16 which is daily themed blog post. So this is a a great post to kick it off with really as some of you will be new to Candyfloss & Dreams and probably won’t know all that bit about me and my little space here.

So hello and welcome to my blog if you’re a newcomer, if you’ve been around before then welcome back. I am Kayleigh or Kat, I answer to both when I’m focusing and paying attention. I’m a busy blogger, mum and girlfriend based in a medium sized town in Hampshire. I like to blog about my travel adventures, a whole bunch of different reviews and raise awareness for domestic violence.

about me, about the blogger, blogtober

I always tend to divert the attention away from myself and onto my loved ones without really giving much away so I’m going to try here. I’m currently twenty-seven and I’m excited for my birthday in December. December is my favourite time of year because I have guaranteed time away from school runs, time with family, time off work and time to myself. It’s a time to celebrate. I actually love this time of year, getting back into the routine of things, the colours of Autumn and pretty good stuff on the telebox in the evenings.

I love blogging, it’s a job I do where I truly feel myself. I gave up my full time job over eighteen months ago now to try and make a living working from home and I have done so much in these past few months. Learning I could make a bit of money through my blog was a bit of a game changer and I am so glad I get to do this full time now. So grateful. I am also an aspiring author and have ideas for a novel penned in many notebooks and word documents.

I am firmly in camp iPhone and want to upgrade to the 6S in December. I want a Canon G7X camera so I can start vlogging without holding the camera inches from my face. I love technology, I think it’s an incredible thing and I love that I’ve witnessed such a transformation that is the digital age. My biggest tech love is video gaming. I am a huge fan of the Final Fantasy series and eagerly anticipating the arrival of Final Fantasy XV next month after a very long time waiting for it. I also love my Kindle, knowing I can constantly carry a library around is fantastic!

I am mum to one little gremlin known to most as Mini Kat because of how much I am told she looks just like me, although she prefers to call herself Evie. We live with our very own Adam, and have been a little family for over three years now. Some people would call us a blended family. Adam took on a daunting job as step dad at just twenty one years old to a toddler full of tantrums and he took it completely in his stride.

So that is me, and a little insight to my family of which I’m sure you’ll get to know more over the coming days. For now, a very happy October to you all!
