I was recently contacted about trying out some Jumbo Chalkola pens and with it being February half term I thought it would be something great to try out with Evie. I also use whiteboards to plan my week and as the Chalkola markers can be used on white board surfaces I thought I would give them a try.
I was sent a pack of Jumbo Chalkola markers which are in white, red, pink, purple, yellow, orange, blue and green. We’ve been having a lot of fun using the pens on various surfaces. The markers I received to review have a 15mm jumbo tip and contain 28g of coloured ink. The markers are best used on all hard non porous surfaces such as windows, whiteboards, mirrors, plastics, chalkboards and LED boards. To get the markers to work you simply shake the pen well, press the tip a few times and then begin writing. You press the tip down again for more ink and carry on.
We have found the marker pens great fun to use and have had fun making my planning boards look a little more exciting. The Chalkola pens range has lots of different sized markers which you can find on Amazon. We’ve been using the chalkola markers on whiteboards and chalkboards. Evie loves them and thinks they’re really cool. She loves to draw and I think she was really drawn to the colours of this particular set of markers. As you can see they’re quite fluorescent.
I think this has given us something new to try this half term which has been a lot of fun. The markers, which are non toxic, take a little while to fill with ink on the first use but after that it’s very easy to continuously colour or draw. They’re easy to clean too and wipe off with a cloth. I haven’t found these to cause a lot of mess and they wash out of clothes easily on a regular wash. If you’re looking for other half term school holiday ideas why not try my Fairy Dough recipe?
You can buy your own Chalkola Jumbo pens on Amazon and I have a 15% off discount code which you can apply when you checkout. The discount code is 15OFFSTR. They are very reasonably priced.
