Who Needs Christmas Gift Ideas for 2018? – This Post Contains Affiliate Links
Look no further. Christmas Gift Ideas and inspiration galore can be found in this post! I have you covered with my Big Fat Christmas Gift Guide for Women, Men and the Kids too. I’ll be featuring a great range of homeware, food, beauty, gadgets and toys that I’ve loved this year, had the pleasure to review and to of course make Christmas shopping easy. I did think about splitting this all up into individual gift guides but I want to make it as easy as possible for you to find exactly what you’re looking for this Christmas. If you’re looking for fun festive things to do in Hampshire then I’ve written about where to visit Father Christmas and the Christmas markets in the county too.
There are some amazing products available this year and I am seeing a lot of people sticking to the 4 gift rule which I think is a lovely idea however it’s not something I want to do in this house. I don’t think presents teach children to be spoiled however I do think it’s a good way to stop your house getting incredibly cluttered. I’ll be keeping this in mind throughout the post. Anyway, you’re here for gift ideas and inspiration so let’s get started. Also, obviously, any of these gifts are suitable for men, women or children. It just makes the most a little easier to follow if I separate them into categories. You know who you’re buying for and what they’d love the most, these are all suggestions.
Christmas Gift Ideas for Women
There are loads of fantastic planners out there. I’ve used quite a few myself. I personally love the Daily Greatness journal. They have different versions available for different outcomes. They focus on Yoga, Business, Wellness, Fitness and of course the original Daily Greatness journal. It’s all about making each day great, improving mental wellbeing and gratitude. Other planners, I’ve used include the Passion Planner and Happiness planner. Both are lovely but I want a bit more room to write. Bullet journals are another great way to get more organised or if you want one done for you then there’s Stick to Stigu which is on my wishlist this Christmas.
I love a good set of PJ’s to wrap up in on Christmas Eve tucked into our own Christmas Eve box. I personally love the range from George at Asda. There are so many great choices available from cooling shorts, silks and cozy fleece.
My go to place for Makeup the last few years has been Superdrug for the Amazing Makeup Revolution brand. It is full of gorgeous palettes, gift sets, well made brushes, primers and they make excellent dupes for some much more high-end brands. I would absolutely take a look at the gift sites in store or online because the range is fantastic. I would love to have the Ultimate Pro Collection from MUR because it looks stunning and is a bargain at just £25.
If you’re looking for something really special then I personally really recommend Charlotte Tilbury beauty range for amazing quality products that come in a beautiful gift box. If you really want to splash out the Limited Edition Charlotte Tilbury Naughty and Nice advent calendar makes an amazing gift for £150 alongside getting a few free samples and free next day delivery.
Beauty Subscription Box
I’ve written an extensive list of all my favourite subscription services but Glossybox remains one of my firm favourites and these can be bought as gifts. You can buy then as a one off or a three, six or twelve-month subscription. A perfect way to gift a loved one that loves beauty and skincare products and keeps them enjoying their gift for a few months after Christmas too. Signing up to Glossybox will get you 20% off and there’s a chance to earn cashback to spend at LookFantastic too which is fabulous. You can use the referral code KAYLEIGH-R3U for a discount!
I’ve been loving my body shop products for Skincare in the last six or so months. The shea butter body moisturiser is my absolute favourite because it smells amazing and leaves skin feeling super soft. They have plenty of offers and gift sets in time for Christmas and asking in store for recommendations always helps. A great amount of Body Shop products are Vegan friendly too. My favourite for bath bits though is of course Lush. They have so many amazing gorgeous gift sets perfect for Christmas.
Wax Melts and Burner
I love home fragrance and wax melts are a real favourite of mine because the scent lasts such a long time. There are some fantastic Soy wax melts available too which I think last a bit longer than regular wax melts and candles. I love fresh scented ones or any that are Christmassy. Vanilla scents are my absolute favourite. Yankee Candle have an amazing range of Wax Melts.
Christmas Gift Ideas for Men
Paladone have an amazing range of gifts and gadgets suitable for all skills and abilities. The Discovery Channel Smartphone Telescope is a great buy and is also available to buy on amazon. The lens clips onto the phone and it comes with a handy little tripod with an awesome zoom. A great chance to see the stars on a clear night. The 10x optical zoom clip on lens is perfect and fits across most smartphones. The Tripod is fantastic for keeping the phone stable.
I usually find the best deals and range in superstores like Asda. The range for men’s skincare is improving a lot and there are some great ranges available. Adam really likes the Bulldog range and Old Spice Original for body spray and shower gel. I also really recommend Westlab Bath Salts for a relaxing, spa quality bath and to soothe aching muscles. These bath salts are fragrance free although there is the option to get some with essential oils. They’re perfect for active and sporty types as they really help relax the muscles and soothe any tension or strains.
BeerHawk have an amazing selection of Christmas gifts from boxes of bottles, cans, craft beer and an advent calendar. You can also buy bottles on an individual basis. They currently have a £10 off offer if you sign up to their newsletter.
We had a recent shopping trip to Basingstoke which resulted in us buying Cards Against Humanity which is a really funny and pretty offensive game. We found it in the store MenKind but it’s also available on Amazon for £20.
Christmas Gift Ideas for Children
Inflatable Star Wars
We received an inflatable remote-controlled R2-D2 which we’ve been having a lot of fun with jetting around the flat. It’s comes combined together in a box, is easy to store thanks to it’s ability to inflate and deflate quickly. We received this with thanks to Bladez Toys who have an amazing range of these inflatable star wars characters including a Storm Trooper, Kylo Ren and jumbo sized BB8 too.
Untie Me Cube
Direct from NRS Healthcare – a site specialising in amazing toys for children particularly a fabulous range in products designed in mind to help those with visual impairment and Autism. The Untie Me Cube is perfect for little ones to help develop fine motor skills. It has several sides to allow you to practise doing things up and undoing them like laces, buttons and zips. It’s a great cube for those that struggle with this. It’s been a great way to practise laces for Evie and the bright primary colours make it appealing for little, young eyes.
This is great for those that suffer with anxiety as the vibrating pillow provides comfort. It’s battery operated and easy to keep and wipe clean. It can help distract little ones and keep them feeling safe and calm.
Snuggle Buddies Unicorn
We absolutely love this gorgeous soft and fluffy snuggle buddy. Her name is Misty the Unicorn. Evie absolutely loves soft toys so I knew this would be a big hit. The snuggle buddy Unicorn comes in two colours and is available on the Entertainer with 50% off. It’s so cute, so soft and a really lovely soft toy that any Unicorn lover would love to unwrap this Christmas. The plush material soft toy is 30cm in size.
Furby is making a comeback this season with the brand new Furby Connect retailing at £100. You can find some fantastic offers on Amazon and get this for under £80 though but I predict they’re going to sell out super fast. We absolutely love our Pink Furby Connect however they do come in a range of colours. This one is super cool because it has a sleep mask which keeps it off and connects to an App, Furby World which is a great extension of the lovable toy. You can find these in Pink, Purple, Blue, Green and Teal.
Jungle Jam is a fantastic book for pre-schoolers and those learning to read with a focus on music. It’s a lovely picture book for children and shows them a huge range of different instruments. My daughter has really enjoyed this story and is really giving it a go by reading it herself. The book is aimed at up to five years however, if like me, you have a slightly older child that wants to read themselves then this is a fun book for them to do so.
Message in a Bottle is a very special book indeed with a personalised message for every child. The book follows the story of Kiki who has a message to deliver and she travels all over the world to get there. It’s a fantastic adventure story that my daughter absolutely loves and with a personal touch it becomes a real keepsake for the family.
A schnook is a super cute soft toy that comes in a little bubble. There are several to collect and they come with a mix of hair accessories. When you open the bubble they’re kept in you get to have a lot of fun shaking them out to size which makes their hair go a little crazy. Evie absolutely loves styling the hair, brushing it through and I think this would make an excellent stocking filler. You can grab yourself a Schnool from Amazon for just £7.99 so it’s a fantastic price for a really cute little toy that any budding stylists would absolutely love.
Tinkerbell Glitter Lamp
Check out this gorgeous Glitter lamp from my favourite Disney fairy direct from Paladone – a perfect place for gifts.
Chocolate Lolly Maker
Wicked Uncle is a great place for loads of amazing toys perfect for Christmas – like this delicious chocolate lollipop maker!
Canterlot and Sequestria Castle
This has been Evie’s most asked for item this year and is top of her Christmas list. The Canterlot and Sequestria Castle is straight from the My Little Pony official movie. It’s a lovely big castle and comes with a great range of accessories and a brand new pony to collect too. It’s all wrapped up and ready for her and I can’t wait to see her face when she opens it. We’ve resorted to hiding it in our wardrobe because its pretty big. You really do need a little storage space to be able to keep this one a secret!
Christmas Gift Ideas for Foodies
I love Hotel Chocolate chocolates. They have a great range and buying three or more packs gets you a nice little multibuy discount. The mini selections are great stocking fillers and come in so many different tastes and flavours. I love the range of caramels and truffles but there is also a lot of boozy, plain and prailines available too. We recently tried the Treacle Tart truffles which are absolutely delicious.
Panetonne is an Italian Christmas cake which is perfect with a lovely glass of Baileys or a big hot coffee. They come in all shapes and sizes with fruit, chocolate chips or plain on the cards. Sous Chef have an amazing range of fantastic Panetonne for you to purchase. The Flamigni Classic Milano Panettone has a shelf live of three months, is hand wrapped and is full of raisins and citrus fruit peels for an infused Christmas flavour.
Gin and Tonic Infusion Set
This is perfect for Gin cocktail lovers. It’s a set of gorgeous smelling aromatic botanicals to infuse and a few cocktails you can make. There’s no Gin included but it would make a lovely addition to a Gin lovers hamper if you make your own for friends or family.
Gift Ideas for the Home
If you’re looking for some artwork then I highly recommend Sarah Taylor and her prints. She has a fantastic collection of absolutely stunning prints. We have The Monarch who is sitting very proudly on my desk. There are plenty of colours in the prints and lots of beautiful animals. The style is just stunning and would fit in any home this Christmas.
Why not grab some beautiful Christmas Flowers for loved ones or for the home over the festive season? I received these beautiful Christmas Red Roses from Prestige Flowers with a box of delicious chocolate truffles. Flowers are a lovely gift to give and the bouquet I received came with a beautiful glass vase and was wrapped so nicely. Flowers typically arrive the next working day and there are plenty of options to make them into a gift with extras, like the chocolates.
Seamingly Inspired is a great place to take a look at handmade fabric gifts. We received a gorgeous piece of bunting for my daughters bedroom in gorgeous colours. Laura is a real professional who is absolutely fantastic at upholstering and creating gorgeous, unique and individual pieces. Laura is incredibly approachable, professional and has a superb turnaround time with personalised orders. She is a true perfectionist so every piece she creates is high quality.
Gift Wrapped with a Bow is a fantastic business that creates absolutely stunning bows, headbands and accessories. Betty, the owner, is creative, talented and her designs are constantly moving with current trends. You can find them on Facebook and place personal orders, she will do her very best to meet your requirements. Sets include novelty and festive hair accessories, back to school in the colour of the uniform you need, stationary accessories and lots of other pretties. Every single one is excellent quality and hand made.
The Soap Mine has an amazing collection of hand made soaps. Over the last six months I’ve seen so many wonderful creations and colours of soap and I know these are created, fragranced and cut with precision, love and care. There are scents to suit all from sweet to fruity to floral so would make an ideal gift for anyone in the family really. You can find The Soap Mine on Facebook.
