We live in a world today where the diet culture is rife. You’ll see celebrities endorsing magic pills and shakes that they claim will guarantee to make you lose the pounds and change your life. But, we know outside of clearing your system, they’re not changing how you approach your diet or lifestyle to ensure the results remain consistent and you remain healthy.
It’s quite simple and completely achievable to change your lifestyle and create a healthy you. Here are 5 changes that you’ll be able to easily implement.
Drink More Water
The majority of us fall guilty of fulfilling our recommended daily intake. We drink lots of tea and coffee but not enough of what our bodies actually need. Water is essential to our bodies being able to function properly. Our bodies are actually 60% water and it is recommended that you drink around 11 cups of water per day. By upping your water levels you’ll remain more hydrated, all your body to complete its functions easier, boost your energy and see physical improvements within your skin.
Vitamins And Supplements
Similarly to our water intake, unless you live by a very varied diet you may find your body is still lacking in other essential elements that support your daily. With that in mind, you choose t to consider topping them up by introducing daily vitamins or steel protein to help your body thrive. To adjust to making this part of your daily routine, you can set reminders to build this into your everyday. After one to two weeks, this will become the new normal and you won’t need to have these additional reminders in place.
Exercise
You are not being expected to go for a run or complete a high-intensity workout program (unless this is by your choice), but you do need to try and get your body active for 30 minutes or so each day if possible. This can be from a walk around the block, a little dance whilst cooking, some stretches, or something a little more physically taxing. By doing this you will release endorphins into the body lifting your mood instantly whilst also positively impacting your physical health by reducing your risk of disease, increase your bone density, and even extend your life expectancy.
Eat More Fruit and Vegetables
Fruits and vegetables contain essential vitamins, nutrients, and minerals that needed to maintain your health. It is currently recommended to eat a minimum of 5 days so you just need to bring those extra portions into your diet. It could be by adding fresh fruit in with your breakfast to start you off on track for the day.
Cut Down On Processed FoodsAlthough processed foods can offer convenience they just aren’t very good for you. Try to plan your meals in advance and if needed consider batch cooking up some meals and stocking up your fridge and freezer when you have the time to offer healthier convenience meals in the future. By doing this you will be able to monitor more easily your fruit and vegetable intake.
