You can go down the wholly natural route to rearing young children – and that’s fine. But it turns out that there are a host of incredible baby accessories out there that can make your life so much easier. Check them out below.
Teething Aid
Teething is something that all children eventually have to go through. While it’s a happy time for a few of them, most of them experience pain during the process. Getting them a teething aid, therefore, can really help.
Today’s teething aids are incredibly robust and made from soft wonder material, silicone. Unlike plastic, silicone won’t shed particles into your child’s body. And it can withstand immense chewing forces before it will break.
Sippy Cup
Another item you’ll want is a sippy cup. These may it easy to store and pour breast milk without spilling it all over the place. Many also come with a helpful bottle with screw-cap lid for easy decanting.
Moses Basket
A Moses basket is like a carry cot but with a miniature mattress built into the floor, covered in a Moses basket fitted sheet. These are great for when you want to take your baby on outings and keep them comfortable at the same time. Moses baskets have plenty of space to allow your child to wriggle from side to side during the first few months of life.
Breast Pump
Sometimes, you don’t want to feed your child directly from your breasts. Maybe they’re feeling a little sore. In which case, you can use a semi-magical device called a breast pump. You just attach the cups to your nipples and it’ll extract milk into a bottle you can feed to your baby later.
Nursing Pillow
Here’s another incredible invention you’ll want to add to your baby accessory collection: a nursing pillow.
Nursing pillows are great for a couple of reasons. They help credible your infant at the right height, and they also help to prevent muscle ache from holding them to the breast, making the whole experience so much more pleasurable.
Sound Machine
Sound machines are a wonderful invention. And babies themselves seem to adore them. These clever little devices deliver soothing noises to your baby’s ears. Many parents, for instance, find that white noise is a great way to help their child fall asleep (especially if you live in a noisy area). You can also use them to play lullabies and other relaxing tunes.
Swaddling Cloth
Swaddles have come a long way in recent years. Many now have zippers that make diaper changes a breeze. And they also come with adjustments that let you create the perfect pouch for your growing child.
Baby Carrier
You’ll also want to add a baby carrier to the list. These come with helpful straps that allow you to wear your baby on the front. Many brands also equip their products with antibacterial fabrics, preventing any nasty smells from developing.
So there you have it: some of the baby accessories you just can’t afford to live without. Which will you use?
