Day trip to Weymouth

me, my sister and mini kat enjoying a day at the seaside at Weymouth I love being able to just get out of the house and take advantage of heading somewhere a bit different to work I for the day and the fact that I can do that and still treat my daughter is just amazing.

We had a lovely day at Weymouth on Monday with my sisters visiting our grandparents whilst they stayed in one of the Haven sites. Mini Kat particularly enjoyed it especially the donkey ride on Maggie along the beach!

We have lots of trips and plans for the Summer and I can’t wait to share them with you.

Weymouth is a fantastic place for every member of the family. They have a huge range of holiday parks and B&Bs along the seafront. We stayed in one a few years ago and had a fantastic time. The beach is always clean and I’ve never seen it as busy as Bournemouth but then again we have usually been in June rather than the school holidays where I am sure it’s busier.

Weymouth has a great range of shops and restaurants including plenty of high street names as well as a few smaller quirky shops which I think are perfect for buying gifts and souvenirs. Walking around the harbour and finding a bench with my chicken curry pasty was lovely, sunshine and a slight breeze!

There is also a huge sea life centre there. Probably the best one I’ve been too because there’s a lot more to see and it’s very close to adventure pirate minature golf. Weymouth is the perfect summer holiday destination for all the family because there’s so much to do and see as well as it being lovely and relaxing if you want it to be!

My favourite buy of the day was some sweet smelling bath melts.

the two cupcake bath melts are raspberry ripple and smell amazing

  1. Aw, I took my little girl to Weymouth last year (In July), and whilst it was crazy busy , it was actually the least stressful beach we went to of the whole holiday. I think the shallow water and soft sand really helped. She wanted to lie on the ground and watch the waves roll in at her! We didn’t see donkey rides,. but that looks likes so much fun!

Weymouth is fantastic I think, its just one of the best beaches I’ve been too. We are off to Blackpool in August and I know it’s going to be packed! Sounds like your daughter had a great time their last year, are you planning on going again? 🙂

      1. We are going to try northern France this year and the beaches near Calais, but I would like to go back to Weymouth again, definitely!
