Hi, I’m Kayleigh and welcome to Candyfloss & Dreams – a lifestyle blog with content intended to help women make informed decisions. I write passionately about life after being vulnerable by sharing my story of living with men
tal health issues after a toxic relationship and being a homeless single mum. I’m now thinking towards the future and hoping to help other women who might be feeling a bit lost or vulnerable and to show t
hem that there is a light at the end of that tunnel. You can read more about me here if you’d like to know my story and how I’ve grown my blog into my business to support my daughter, found romance again and how I cope with my mental health and anxiety on a daily basis. I also upload family lifestyle, pregnancy and holiday vlogs to my YouTube channel.
If you would like to get in touch about a
ny of the content available on my blog please do contact me. Alternatively, if you would like to discuss collaboration then you can visit my Work With Me page here. You can also find me on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter or under the user name @KatCandyfloss on most platforms.
About The Blog
The blog covers a range of topics written in mind to help women make informed decisions that will help benefit their family life. I want to share how I went from a homeless single mum to a business owner in a loving, healthy relationship. I know how hard it can be to make informed decisions when you’re feeling vulnerable and I know exactly what it’s like to live on the breadline. My family and I have been surviving on a low income budget that still allows us to pay off debt, go on holidays and enjoy quality time together. I have written about my mental health, particularly How I Cope with Anxiety to try and help others understand just how difficult life can be for those that struggle with it.
I share my reviews on holidays, products I find helpful and information that I think will help other women such as What Hostel Living is Like as I feel it’s something many women feel ashamed of. Hostel living when you’re a mum, especially after an unhealthy relationship, can be intimidating and stressful. It’s a time of loneliness when you’re never really alone and a time where you really learn how resilient you can be in a time of need. Since becoming pregnant with my second child and being of a high risk I have also blogged openly about my choices and decisions throughout my pregnancy with the hope of helping other high risk mums getting the continuity of personalised care that they need and deserve for a positive pregnancy and birth.
I also write generally about our family life and experiences in the hope that I can show that there is a light at the end of a dark tunnel and that life does get better after a period of stress and difficulty. You may find sponsored and collaborative content on the blog as I have been lucky enough to turn my writings into my work which has allowed me to stay and work at home around my daughter, and, my pregnancy.
I’m currently writing my first book which is all about positive birth experience for high risk pregnancies. I’m very passionate that women of a high risk should have all the facts when expecting a baby so that they can make informed decisions, especially when there are risk factors involved. A high risk pregnancy can be high risk because of medical or personal complications but it can also be high risk for things that are not normal. This can often make you feel vulnerable and scared about giving birth but with the right support any pregnancy should be about personalised care. I am hoping to include stories from other high risk women that have had pretty normal pregnancies and positive birth experiences so if you would like to find out more please do contact me. I am anticipating the book to be available in November after self publishing.
I am also compiling a Complete Guide to Working at Home ebook which should be available to purchase, for a small fee, in January 2019. The guide aims to help other women get started on a home based business with a hobby and offer them getting started tips such as setting up an office space, where to find freelance work, how to start a blog and writing for a living as well as social media promotion tips.
Alongside this I have been studying Neuro Linguistic Programming and Life Coaching so that I can develop from my blog and offer one on one personalised coaching care to others.
