My early Christmas gift to you is my December review roundup! Hurrah! You might remember I talked about making some changes to how I do a few things last month and that includes a monthly roundup review on the products I’ve been using. You can take a look at what I reviewed in November if you like. Or you can carry on reading below to see what I’ve been using this festive month of December.
Firstly do you or someone you know enjoy craft beer? If so head on over to the fantastic Beer 52 and grab yourself £10 off your first box with code CANDYFLOSS10
Beer 52 are a monthly subscription club which includes a selection of eight craft beers delivered to your home each month. The box also comes with a magazine and a snack and is the perfect treat. Beer 52 provides you with a chance to try new beers from all around the globe. We were sent the box of eight beers just in time for Christmas with a Christmas theme and they are all great. Craft beer always comes with some quirky packaging which shows how unique it is and the quality is just fantastic. We decided we would try and pair each beer with a meal comparing the hop notes and flavours in dishes – I’m going to do another post to let you know how that one goes!
So the picture isn’t very clear but it’s a sample of Bodyshop’s Camomile Cleansing Butter. I asked a representative for a sample of this after watching The UnNatural Mother and her vlog about her favourite Bodyshop skincare products. The cleansing butter smells so lovely and it’s so gentle on the skin, it removes makeup effortlessly and has left my skin feeling so lovely and soft. I can’t believe that just after using it for a couple of days it has calmed the massive breakout on my chin down. Thank you so much Collette for the sample – if you wish to join her Bodyshop at Home group then you can do so here and I know she’ll be happy to help you find great products for you.
I am so impressed with another Maelle product this month! I was offered the mascara last month to review and this month I’ve had the pleasure of using the Dawn 2 Dusk eye shadow palette provided by Maelle representative Emma. Thank you so much to Emma for sending this gorgeous palette, I love it! I recently did a Facebook Live and I was really positively complimented on my eye makeup which was lovely to hear and this was the palette I used. It’s so obvious why it’s called Dawn 2 Dusk as it is half perfect nudes for a day time look and the other half features gorgeous shimmers and smokey tones for a fab night look. They blend really well, lovely shades and I’m really, really impressed. You can take a look at her store here for current offers and amazing beauty bundles.
I received this gorgeous hamper from Blossoming Gifts which feature lots of lovely wine and home made chocolates. I love the purple felt presentation box too, it’s beautiful and I imagine I’ll get a lot of use out of this.
Blossoming gifts also feature absolutely beautiful bouquets of flowers suitable for all occassions and some even come with free chocolates. I absolutely love this one pictured and it’s perfect for this time of year. Everyone likes to receive flowers once in a while so do consider Blossoming Gifts for all year around and every occasion.
I bought myself this lovely tin of hand picked tea at Salisbury Christmas Market this month. I gave a fair few of the tins a smell first before settling with the Darjeeling Muscatel which is absolutely delicious. It’s loose leaf tea so you’ll need a teapot, strainer and a good sized cup! It’s a very light and refreshing tea with that lovely almost floral scent. Absolutely perfect to snuggle up on the sofa in the afternoon with after a drizzly day. The Rather Tasty Tea People have a great range of teas and tea making products with a little bit of a quirky edge but I just love them. If you’re looking for a denser, heavier tea then I’d recommend the Russian Caravan – which smells so good, it was that one or this one but I felt this would be more of an every day drink and I love it. It is definitely rather tasty tea!
Disclaimer: Beer52, Blossoming Gifts and Emma from Maelle sent these products in exchange for this review. I asked for a bodyshop sample but it was not a request that I included it in this post. I purchased the tea myself. All opinions remain my own, as always.
