Lavazza Prontissimo Coffee – Review

I love a good cup of coffee and I have recently been lucky enough to sample Lavazza’s Prontissimo instant coffee in exchange for a fair and honest review. I received both the Intenso and Medio flavours of coffee to sample and I have to say I’m really impressed. Both my partner and I have been waking up and having a cup of this in the morning and have really enjoyed the taste of both coffees.

This couldn’t have come at a better time either! The night before my package arrived I’d been out with the Mum’s from school and had a great time as well as knocking back a few glasses of red wine. A hot cup of tasty, Italian, instant coffee was exactly what I needed the morning after.

Both of these come in cans which I really like. They’re easy to hold and very easy to store rather than glass jars. They don’t smash…big bonus for little feet and clumsy mummies and they have a foil seal tab inside to help keep the coffee nice and fresh.

I always keep the foil tab on slightly as I feel that keeps in some of the freshness but that’s just me. The lid is plastic and easy to remove, especially when you’re feeling a little foggy from sleep. Exactly what you need in the morning.

I recently read that coffee is most effective between 9.30-11.30am which was really interesting and the time I probably drink most of my coffee on a daily basis as this is when I’m working and it’s easy to just keep reboiling the kettle for a hot drink at home.

We first tried the Intenso which we both really enjoyed. Its a really nice, strong flavour but with a silky smooth texture and mixes well with milk and water. There was no bitterness at all despite the strong flavour and I would say this was more barista style than the Medio.lavazza coffee at home, coffee review, prontissimo coffee review

Whilst we both enjoyed the Medio I personally found this had a slightly more bitter undertone than the Intenso but I think that would just be my personal tastebuds and preference. I would still purchase both of these in the future but I think the Intenso will take preference as it’s the one I loved the most. Looking over this now I think I loved the Intenso more because it describes as having notes of caramel…might be why I found it a little smoother and sweeter!

Overall both of these coffees are made well, smell great, stay fresh and taste great. These coffees can be found in most UK supermarkets and on Amazon.

Go for it! I was really impressed actually, we’ve had both jars for a week now and only about a quarter way gone so they make plenty of cups! x

  3. I think I must be the only person who doesn’t like coffee lol. My husband would love both of these, he is always trying new coffees.
