November Review Round Up

I’ve been lucky enough to work with some really wonderful brands throughout November which has lead to be wanting to take my blog in a slightly different path and each month create a review round up of the products I’ve loved this month and been lucky enough to experience and try. Each product I’ve received in exchange for featuring on my blog, reviewing and social media coverage however all opinions on each product remain my own, as always.

Maelle above and beyond mascara review, november

A big thank you to Sam, a Facebook friend and Maelle business owner for sending me the Above and Beyond Mascara in Black to try. The mascara features a curved wand for extra definition and volume on the lashes. I’m really impressed by this Mascara and it would make a fabulous gift for any beauty lovers. I’ve not noticed any discomfort or irritation whilst wearing and it’s given me all day coverage. Personally, at £18, I do feel it’s quite a lot of money however the gorgeous mirrored packaging makes it feel like a premium product. It’s very good quality and after multiple uses the mascara isn’t clumping, the wand is quite strong and easy to clean off. I feel the curved wand really helps to give extra length and volume to each lash and it can be built up on to create a glamourous smokey eye look. You can purchase Maelle products from Sam on her website or get in contact with her on her page.

image1-23Another beauty product I’ve been reviewing is the Naturting CC conditioning cream which I’ve been massaging into damp hair after each bath. This is to help renew the colour and keep the hair from drying out. It’s got a lovely, slightly fruity smell and is all organic products. I colour my hair every three months or so (not naturally a platinum blonde, shock horror!) and I’m very aware of how weak this can make my hair. This CC cream is really helping to make it feel smooth and strong again and it leaves my hair smelling lovely. You only need a tiny amount when applying and gently massage through the hair down to the tips. I can see this lasting me quite a while thanks to the generous bottle size and only needing to use a couple of times a week. It is silicone and paraben free and features four products for great conditioned hair and a lovely natural fragrance.

red roses, christmas flowers, christmas gift guide

I was sent a gorgeous bouquet of Christmas flowers from Prestige Flowers which lasted around two weeks with regular changes of water. They were perfect winter roses that came with a beautiful glass vase and a little box of chocolates. Prestige flowers offer next day delivery on all their flowers, depending on the time you order, and they come beautifully wrapped and ready to make a centerpiece. The gorgeous red flowers matched my living room very well and bloomed beautifully over the weeks that I had them. The addition of an extra little box of chocolates makes a lovely touch and a wonderful gift for a loved one. Prestige flowers would make ideal gifts for Christmas, Birthdays, Mothers Day, welcoming a new baby, Valentines day gifts or just because you like flowers and feel like getting yourself a gift.

happytoadmas, chocolate cards, unique cards, special cards, chocolate review, Morse Toad review

If you’re looking to send out some cards over the festive season and want to send something a little special then I really recommend Morse Toad who have a fantastic range of chocolate cards. We received a Merry Christmas card which was wrapped well and came the next day after ordering. The chocolate is very nice and let’s be honest who doesn’t want to receive a little message with chocolate squares this Christmas? It can be used to send cards to friends and family, special messages, Birthday greetings or just for someone that really loves chocolate. Use the code HappyToadmas for 10% Off (expires 25/12/16)

We have also tried two new healthy energy cans from Aspire drinks. I have a feeling these are going to be great in the new year for a bit of a boost and I love that the drinks have added vitamins, no nasties and natural flavours. We got to try the still apple and acai drink which had a really lovely subtle fruit flavour and was very refreshing alongside the sparkling mango lemonade. Both included multivitamins and provided us with a bit of an energy kick on a Monday afternoon which was just what we wanted. They are great tasting and a fantastic alternative to high sugar energy drinks. Perfect if you’re planning a health kick in the new year!

  1. All these products look and sound amazing, I’m particularly liking the sound of the hair conditioner and drinks (oh and I wouldn’t say no to the chocolate either!). Thank you for sharing with #bigpinklink x
