Going to BlogOn in September was brilliant because I got to meet loads of lovely brands and see some amazing new products that are around and are ideal for Christmas. One of the toys I absolutely loved and new Evie would love too was Sands Alive. It’s amazing stuff and so lovely to touch. When I was asked if I’d like to review the Sweet Treats set I was all over that and Evie was of course really excited.
The set comes with a lovely big tray to contain the sand, a big pack of Sands Alive and some plastic sweet style shapes to help you fill and shape the sand into some Sweet Treats like cake and ice cream. There are lots of positives to Sands Alive – it’s easy to shape and then return to the rest of the sand. You can reshape it over and over again and it doesn’t dry out if kept out of the box which is brilliant. The sand is super soft and easy to shape and model however you’d like. You can flatten it out and run shapes through it or get as creative and detailed as you like with your sweet treat shapes. Sands Alive is suitable for children over 3 years old and requires direct supervision.
Sands Alive is easy to shape, it has an interesting texture which I really like as it’s incredibly soft and easy to squish. We’ve had a few drop into the carpet but it doesn’t stick and is really easy to remove or hoover up if necessary. It hasn’t stuck to any other furniture which makes it an easy clean, mess-free activity which has been absolutely perfect for the cold half term we’ve had.
Sands Alive Sweet Treats by John Adams would make an excellent choice for Christmas this year. There are a few other sets available too including a starter kit and an Animals set. I highly recommend getting the starter set to see what all the fuss is about and hopefully, you’ll enjoy Sands Alive just as much as we have. You can find John Adams toys on Amazon and if you like what you see here why not pop on over to the JA Craft Club on Facebook.
