My Dream Home Would Have…

When I think of my dream home I don’t think of a big country home or a mansion. I quite like walking around IKEA and seeing all the designs and layouts for a home which always makes me think how I’d like to have mine. I love contemporary style homes, with lots of light and features, lots of colour and lots of storage.

I’d be happy in a nice area of town or a city suburb near a good school and close to good transport routes. I’d like four bedrooms, a nice large bedroom with an en suite for me, a good sized room for Evie, a room that could potentially be used as a nursery/bedroom for future child and a guest bedroom. I think each of the bedrooms would have to have blinds as they’re nice and easy to use. We would want a nice colour to match our bedroom which would probably be purple, blackout blinds for the nursery and guest bedroom and a themed one for Evie’s room. She loves Disney Princess and I’m sure would love a princess themed rooms. VELUX blinds offer all of these and would be a one stop shop for the blinds in our bedrooms.

I’d like a downstairs toilet, an en suite in my room and a large family bathroom. We would absolutely love to have a lovely big whirlpool style bath. I love this one from Victoria Plum.

Our home would have to have a contemporary style kitchen with lots of cool features. I’d love a purple, black and chrome coloured kitchen with lots of storage. I do love cooking and would love a big space to cook in. I love the look of the Odina Gloss kitchen in Homebase.

There’s so much to consider when thinking about a new home, especially your Forever home or dream home. I’d really like to have a nice sized dining room which would also be used as my office…I need to be close to the kitchen working from home. A good sized garden for BBQ’s, summer parties and fun for the kids would just make it the perfect home for us. Oh, and a dog!
